How to Use the Set for a Curl Fade (Step by Step)

Step 1 – Detangle with the Black Iron Comb

Use the wide teeth first. Start from the ends and work up to the roots.
Do not rip through curls. Gentle passes only.

Step 2 – Section with the Black Hot Box

Use the hot box comb to isolate fade zones (lower parietal, temple, nape).
For tighter curls, you can gently heat the comb to stretch hair before cutting (low heat only).

Step 3 – Detail with the Steel Pin Comb

After your clipper work, use the fine steel pins to check for missed hairs.
Run the comb against the grain. If you see a ridge, blend again.

Pro Tip: Mist the hair lightly with Fade Control Spray Bottle before detangling. Damp curls detangle faster with less breakage.
